Christmas is over and New Year's is here :)
Michael named a star after me for Christmas ^_^ and when it came in the mail I got the map thingies to see where it was exactly and a heart necklage with the name and location on it. Oh before that he gave me a new pink ipod nano which is nice because my mini was stolen earlier this year :/ Since he had gotten me 2 gifts I had to give something else besides the shoes I gave him...
Ok so, I had THEE hardest time finding someone to engrave the bracelet I got from Macy's for Michael. It's a silver chain with a plate on it for engraving stuff, it looks a lot like this, but really expensive and sterling silver. Luckily I have a Macy's card and I got 40% off on it :D I had to get it done after christmas, and I was looking up on yellowpages.com on all the jewelry places and finally one store recommended I go to Mr. Z's in the tin cannery and I'm so glad I did, the guy was so nice he showed me the 2 fonts he had for engraving and the sizes, I told him I wanted the double script and "Amor Vincit Omnia" on the front and "Love Whitney" on the backside, I left my name, number and the bracelet and in 40 minutes he called me back and it looked perfect and it only cost $25 :) I was so happy it was less trouble than I thought, I remember calling Zales and they said for engravings they had to ship them out and it would take like 2 weeks! So when I got home I gave Michael the bracelet and he was super happy ^_^ and so was I, it's a really pretty bracelet.
Ok, now for some make-up blogging...
I just bought enormouslash and it's now my 3rd day only so results haven't been showing just yet. I had been debating which eyelash grower product to get before hand, there was revitalash (which I think is most popular), enormous lash, marini lash, and md eyelash. I chose enormous lash because I looked up a lot of reviews for it and for the new version not the first verison, which all of the eyelash growers had the same main ingredient, some kind of medication for glaucoma treatment (weird) and all of them changed their formulas taking out the glaucoma stuff, here's a quote on a website about it.

So all the eyelash growers now don't have that stuff in it. I've seen some people say the newer formulas don't work as well or not at all but I see a lot of reviews saying the opposite, so I decided I would just go buy it and try it for myself. I paid $95 on ebay for enormous lash :/ it is a lot but it's a helluvalot cheaper than getting the xtreme lash extensions which are $400 and $75 for touch ups. And I really REALLY want long lashes, because mine are dinky and short T_T. Curse my asian genes.
So today at work my brother showed up at 12 and I had forgotten he was supposed to work till 1 so I decided to just go take an hour break :P
I went to the cos bar to look at some pink lipstick, something lighter than what I already have. The lady there was nice and got me a few to try that she thought would be nice on me, and I ended up liking the Nars one called roman holiday which was a really soft lighter pink, not like candy pink though. And for fun I decided to try some blush, she put Angelika on me which was nice because I asked her for a "going out" one, then I asked to try the orgasm one because of how popular it is. It is nice, but not very noticeable on me, it was very light on my skin, I think because I'm a bit dark. I decided to get the angelika one, which I'm glad I did because Boris just walked in and told me I looked very vibrant and pretty lol, and I don't have that much makeup on really. I'm sure it was the blush because it looks great :D it's like the perfect flush for me, like almost the exact color of my natural blush.
Oh before I went back to work I stopped at Wilkes' Bashford to look at the shu eumura stuff. I tried on more lipstick but I didn't buy any, and the lady there was nice, she helped me apply some lip liner which I wasn't crazy about and she found the lash repair which I was looking for. She actually told me her and her friends have been using revitalash or something like it and they love it, and one of her friends has to trim her lashes because they hit her glasses lol. And it's the new formula too not the old one which I was glad to hear :) I told her I had just started using it and I hope I get good results. So I left there after buying the lash repair which I used just now, it's got the tiniest brush I've ever seen which I like for getting the little lashes I have. I needed some lash conditioner for my no makeup days because they are getting a little dry from mascara and curling.
I've also recently bought a bare escentuals eyebrow powder from the store near the transit, the pot is so cute and small and the color is great because it's not harsh at all, and a bottle of opi nail polish from trade secret at the mall in "pink-ing of you" and I think i'm in love with opi polish now because it didn't chip at all for 10 days what so ever, not even essie lasted as long as that for me lol.
On another note, I need to get a new camera, and I kinda have my sights set on the canon power shot, the one with that tennis player girl and her doggie in the commercials :P I was thinking maybe the nikon coolpix (the ashton one) but the reviews I saw on it were really bad. The powershot one i hear is really good and the price is decent too, about 170ish and they have a pink one.
EDIT: Here's a picture of the nars lipstick and blush, the lipstick isn't as purple-y irl btw.
