Give us your TIME, BLOOD & MONEY!
I am totally in support of giving/volunteering/helping in any way to
the victims/survivors of Hurricane Katrina. However, as my
parents and I are watching tv this fine Friday evening, my dad stopped
it on some channel where a man from the Red Cross was talking on tv and
this is what he said, "All we need is your time, your blood and your
money." SWEAR to God that is what he said. Now, I don't
disagree that these people need help, support, & all they can get,
but I need to survive too. I have been donating here and
there when I can and I believe it is extremely important to give &
help those in need...but when this guy on tv is yelling that he needs
my time, blood, & money...it's a lil freaky. Like, we need
everything you have to offer, but fuck you!
No worries, the parents have switched from nutter red cross man to some really awesome show called, "inconceivable," about a fertility clinic. fucking sweet. Seriously, my mom is starting to fall asleep and if my father doesn't change the channel I'm going to throw something at the tv. It is AWFUL!!!!
OMG I cannot believe all the frickin' laundry I have to do. It is a never ending pile! I've already washed 2 loads, and another is in the washer as I speak, but I think I have at least 2 more loads after this one! SUCK! Rob, dear honey, you owe me, BIG time!
I suppose I should start studying botany a bit since I have nothing really awesome to do and my dad is now a woman who refuses to change this god-awful tv show.
