All I want for Christmas is a Guitara!!!
OMG. I am hungry & freaking out!
I woke up at 9a, and of course, Rob & Rikki are still sound asleep, so I decided to go down to the kitchen (we're still at Rob's parents) and get out my student teaching stuff and work on my application for student teaching since the laptop is still hooked up in the kitchen. Cool...no big deal. OH Wait, I get to the point in my application where it wants me to:
1. Describe your understanding of Concept and Knowledge-Driven Practices:
2. Describe your understanding of Learner-Centered Practices as it relates to classroom teaching:
3. Describe your understanding of teaching for Reflective practice to diverse roles and settings:
Of course, all of those practices/concepts/etc are listed in my handbook, so I open my handbook, only it's like reading Greek. I don't get a word of what any of this is trying to explain & I'm having a total anxiety attack because I want to answer all the questions supurbly so I get a good student teaching position. GAH!!!!
So I am taking a break from that to type here in lj and now I will discuss other things that are less stressful.
I have decided I want to be a RockStar! Yesterday, while at my cousin Brandon's bday party, I was like, "Oh, Brandon, can I play your guitar?" and he's like "Sure, whatever, it's in my room" So I go get his guitar which I just then realize that it's an electric guitar & I start farting around acting like a "rockstar" & so do my family members. Well a lil while later, my Uncle Mike sits down with me and starts teaching me chords & before I know it I know the Chords "D" "A" & "E" and I have the 3 chords I need to learn to play the song "Wild Thing!" HOW COOL IS THAT?! I suck, but I can play those three chords pretty well...I just have to get my dick-skinners on a guitar so I can practice! : ) My uncle also brought out his acoustic guitar and we had fun family music time. I will post pics of that awesome jam session because it was way too fun. I'm super geeked. And I've already started making a list of songs in my head that I want to learn how to play on guitar once I've learned all the chords and shiz. Also, I really want to learn how to play the piano. I'm so over the recorder, but I will pretend for my music teacher. : )
