CONCERT REPORT
Date attended: 2010.08.21 Arashi 10-11 Tour at Kokuritsu Kyogijo
Ok guys I know that I’ve mentioned that I will upload pictures of Johnny’s shop etc, but I was too tired yesterday. I actually sunburnt myself while queuing up for the concert goods for 5 hours. The sun’s UV rays are too strong. My skin has turned all red. I hope I don’t have any serious skin problems…
Anyway to the post now… my concert report for 21 August 2010.
This is from me. I arrived Kokuritsu at 4.40pm. So I waited for the concert to start. My friend Antron and Akiko were beside me. Akiko is an Ohno fan and her kaibutsu kun uchiwa is so cute. Antron is a Jun fan and on my right hand side there were 4 Jun fans. Ureshii. Jun kun area desu.
Concert started slightly late…at about 5.40pm. (It ended at 9.15pm)
The concert started off with Moving On, then Yurase ima wo, then Troublemaker… after these three songs, I can’t really remember the orders of the next few but they are Hadashi no mirai, Happiness, Let me down, etc.
There was NO flying across the stadium… There was no Olympic fire stage thingy… Nothing like that.
The first solo is by Nino. He was dressed up in very very baggy pants. And he wore a big magician hat and a bow tie. He looks like a magician.
The second solo is by Ohno. He was dressed up in black and white, and very sleek dance moves and beautiful voice. I would say that his performance is very much like like Take me faraway and Rain.
Ohno also performed Kaikun!!!! Jun was was talking to him for the first few minutes before he started singing. SO CUTE OHNO
The third solo is by Sho. T.A.B.O.O. The background screen showed pictures of half naked Sho, and very hot pictures of him. But Sho kun did not strip during the performance.
The forth solo is by Jun. Do you want me to tell you something? I love his performance so much. (yes, Jun biased) but well, he did his MJ WALK again. He did it. He flew across the screen horizontally. The theme was GAME. So, Matsujun flew to earn game points. Then in the game, Nino appeared in the screen. Matsujun was dressed up from head to toe. No stripping. Matsujun was dressed in green and purple and wore a beanie. I am so impressed with his solo. Because he flipped across the stage when he was on the wire.
In Jun's solo. There was STAGE 1 and STAGE 2. Stage 1 is the MJ walk part where Jun was on wires. The STAGE 2 was when Jun was singing on the ground. The title of stage 2 is 'COME BACK TO ME'
The last solo is by Aiba. Yes surprisingly, last is Aiba.
His solo is really magical. Because he wore outfit that changed rainbow colours. Something electricity-like? The effect was really great because the sky was dark.
There are many songs that Arashi sang but my favourite performance has to be CIRCUS. The performance is awesome because it is simply SO CIRCUS-like. It started with Matsujun doing MJ walk. Yes, he walked upside-down on the wire. Then he rotated and flipped just like what he did in MJ walk at TIME concert. Then, Aiba chan joined Jun on the stage, flying. Aiba chan did what Jun did and both of them did many dangerous circus acts. Jun and Aiba held hands with one another while both of them are hung on the wire. When Jun was hung upside down, Aiba wasn’t and vice versa.. So both of them are actually holding hands while hanging in the air…
Then, because Sho kun is afraid of heights, he did not fly across the stage. Nino and Ohno flew alone sideways.
And my favourite part of CIRCUS is that there were three circus boxes. Metallic silver open boxes. The boxes were hanging in the air. Jun and Sho shared the same box, while Ohno and Nino shared another box, while Aiba another. Sho was as usual, very scared … but everything went smoothly.
After CIRCUS was Monster. But before Monster, there were short medleys of Arashi songs such as truth, ashita no kioku… not medleys actually because arashi did not sing. They were actually just instrumentals but Arashi danced so much, and they did the Yes? No? performance dance though the full song was not performed.
When Monster was performed, Sho kun said, ladies and gentlemen, we have a very nice performance ahead…then monster started off very kakkoiily.
When Monster ended, hanabi came. Purple, red, yellow, Green, Blue hanabi came after monster performance. But during Monster performance, fire came first…It came from the top of the main stage as well as the side stages.. Then water fountain came…it was so pretty.
I don’t know how to describe lighting effect that well since it is so difficult to explain..but I just want to say that, I am very impressed with the lighting colours this year. It is really really beautiful. But the sound system was not very good.
Oh yes, there were actually 3 times of MC in the main performance (excluding encore)….
In the first MC, Aiba chan was the ‘host’. He did a quiz and got Arashi members to guess the title of some songs… Arashi members had to run to grab the flag if they know the answer. Everyone except Nino could answer… Jun was the first to answer correctly..He guessed it right..A Kinki Kids song.
The next MC…my Japanese is not very good, but I asked my Japanese friend just now what Arashi was talking about during the MC and she explained to me. Arashi did talk about the hot weather, and they said Riida has become sunburnt.. so they asked Riida to stand under different colour lightings…Riida stood under yellow and greenblue lightings..
Then there is this part in this MC which I like so much.
Arashi members costumes are very special and pretty this time round. And they had English phrases on the back of their jackets.
Sho’s was ‘ROCK THE WORLD.’
Jun’s was ‘DEEPER & HIGHER’.
Ohno’s was ‘SWITCH ON’. Everyone laughed because Ohno really needs to switch ON, right? Lol.
Nino’s was ‘THE LANDSCAPE I’M SEEING.’
Aiba’s was ‘I LOVE CHIBA!’ hahaha. With a big exclamation mark!!
There are many more things in the MC but I didn’t quite catch it. I will try to ask my Japanese friend again.
In the last MC, it was Arashi’s thank messages.
Order of message: Sho, Ohno, Aiba, Nino, Jun (Same order as 5x10 concert, TIME concert, etc.) Ohno talked A LOT in his thank message. Sugoi desu. And his talk is deep too. Nino as usual, he likes to crack jokes so Aiba chan joined in his thank message somehow… And Jun, as usual, his message is very deep.
All the songs in the album were sung…
Ballons flew off at Summer Splash. Summer splash was sung after A day in my life. Summer splash…really sugoi. The ballons were of light colours and light pink, light green, light blue…. Kireiiiii
Love so sweet, One love were sung… and the graphics are so beautiful….
My girl was sung…and the graphics had pictures of windows… so beautiful..
And beautiful days was sung at the end too.
Many many songs but my poor memory cannot store the order of the songs.
Love Rainbow was sung as the last song of the encore.
Jun kun was so cute. During the closing speech, the camera closed up to Jun kun, but Jun kun was like unsure about what to say, so he smiled back at us. Kawaii !
Jun kun was in a good mood today but he did not kiss the camera. Probably he was tired? Haha well Arashi rehearsed until very late yesterday at kokuritsu. I listened to Arashi rehearsing on 20th august outside kokuritsu. My friends and I went to peek. So Arashi rehearsed until later than 10pm, because we left at 9.30pm.
Songs that Arashi did not sing: TRUTH, A.RA.SHI.
Yes the above two songs. I didn’t expect Arashi not to sing A.Ra.Shi.
I was surprised myself.
But Kansha kangeki ame arashi was sugoi. Everyone said A.Ra.Shi. during the end of the chorus line.
And ohhh Gift. This one and Mukae ni iku yo. Sugoi kireii. Everyone was waving their green penlights in the dark. Sun has set. Jun’s voice is so beautiful in Gift. He sang very well. And cho kakkoii.
I love Arashi.
My seat was at the middle stand seats. I envy those seated at Arena because the layout this time round is different from last year… as in, there are lesser arena seats now, but more space for the moving stages.
Overall: the lightings are really VERY PRETTY. Very colourful and they blend very well. Costumes wise, very nice. Only downside is the sound system in kokuritsu. But our boys have done their best. They sang very very well.
I am proud of Arashi.
Arashi, Thank you for the splendid performance today.
I will listen to you sing tomorrow again outside kokuritsu.
Pls do not repost my concert report

I didn't read in full coz I don't wanna be spoilt...but I just browsed through. And I'm not too surprised they didn't sing a.ra.shi....coz my friend was saying that there's a rumour that Arashi will perform a.ra.shi for a final round in 5x10 and stop the song for future cons...I thought it was just a rumour coz...a.ra.shi is their debut song ne! But...maybe it's true...
