Update: The aliens have landed!
Just a small post to let everyone know that:
1. It appears that my tech friend has successfully extracted my documents folder and all my pictures and story updates seem to be intact.
2. My hard drive seems to have a common glitch of failing to properly load Microsoft updates. The failure is not due to bad CC or SimPE. Purely a hardware issue, it's a seven plus year old machine.
3. Since my birthday is next month my husband has agreed to pay for a new system for me. I am getting a brand new Alienware brand computer with water cooled heat sinks and an ATI duel crossfire video card. Top of the line goodies! Do I have a great hubby or what?
Thanks every one for the support and I will try to catch up with everyone's updates after this weekend and the adpot-a-thon. Speaking of which- if you are considering adding a new pet to your family, adopt a shelter animal. Give a homeless pet a home!
