Watch out, Taiwan!

Alright, so I technically arrived like two days ago, but give me a break. After a near disastrous delay, I managed to hitch a ride with another airline and made it pretty much on schedule. Ended up getting to gramma's at around 11 at night and that was saturday. Sunday was spent lazing about and trying to shake off fatigue and muscle strain (those luggages weren't much fun to lug on and off the trains <<;;;).

Today, I'm happy to say that with the amount of clothes I picked up on our first outing to the market, I'm well on my way to finishing off my winter shopping list. I keep forgetting how very cheap stuff is in taiwan. Like, I'm talking thick sporty winter coat for the equivalent of 10 dollars XD. So, yeah that makes me happy. Cheap clothes, cheap food... And okay some of the clothes are knockoffs and I'm sure they're not all extremely high quality (had to dodge some shirts sporting the words "abercromber" and "Anerican" and the like; gramma didn't understand why I was so against the nice suber cheap clothes <<;;;) But really they were pretty damn good, and not all american clothes are that great either. Like sure nice cotton and whatnot, but some of those brand name clothes are paper thin. Not a lot of use in winter.

Anywho, picked up a lot of neat sweatshirt hoodies <3 AND got a fleece over-thing and a nice winter coat. Now, I just need a few more things like scarf, gloves, maybe some more sweaters, etc. And I wouldn't mind finding some cheap, cute purses/bags. We're talking cloth bags here.

So Cheap clothes, we've covered. I won't mention the cheap undies I also got for 1$ a piece Cheap food however... it's awesome. Ask Ivy, Taiwan food is awesome, and all the more amazing for how cheap it is. Today, we picked up bowls of soup with noodles, beef(pig?) stomach and beef meat with a side of wrapped rice w/various things inside(Taiwanese should know what I'm talking about. zong zi I think the romanization might me, but not sure <<;;). The whole meat was like $1 to $1.50

So from now on out, it's just pacing myself as i finish my winter shopping, getting some other nice things like bags, cute things, etc. Eating good food off of my "food-to-eat-in-Taiwan" list, and working through all my art and translation commissions (not to mention reconnecting with Saizen, because I basically fell off the face of the earth with them <<;; oops). That, and I'd like to register my own scanlation group with Manganews when I have time, for random doujins that I'm hot for <3

On a side note, I really have to decide what to do with my Nanowrimo piece. Whether I should keep it as is and start polishing, or change the plot a bit, or even just scrap it and use pieces of the fic in different plots. I dont want to lose my renewed interest in the writing fandom, so if worse comes to worse, I might just start posting up my little ficlets/drabbles in a fic format to keep up the ideas. I might even try some writing ideas used by the revered FASH.

Now to just beat the unruly internet here into submission...

TAIWAN BANZAI!
