He liked Brueghel. Maybe he was looking at etchings and drypoints too. I like these very much. I'm going to study them a bit.

They're really good, aren't they? And with a distinctively Flemish feel. He also painted in parts of Wales that I know quite well, but I haven't been able to find anything of quite this quality from there. Though this was painted near Aberystwyth:

Beautiful atmospheres and yes one can feel the Brueghel in there. Very inspirative.
