Random Sight in the Morning
On the way back from the gym at 8:30 a.m. this morning, I saw a girl who strangely looked like Britney Spears of late (read: trash), riding on a skateboard, and smoking a cigarette. Except she wasn't riding the skateboard very well, so it looked even more hilarious than it actually sounds.
In other sightings, the campus is full of visiting freshman with their accompanying parents suffering from separation anxiety. While walking back to my apartment last evening, I passed two parents and their child walking along 13th. The parents were obviously irritated, and the father was complaining that he didn't want to carry the bags of stuff they got at the bookstore (probably university paraphernalia), and the mother snapped at him, "well, what do you want to do!?" The son looked like he was stuck in a bad remake of the ill-famed "Crossroads" starring none other than the aforementioned pop-starlet-turned-ugly-suburbanite. I started to giggle once I passed them. Who knew life can be a comedy?
