Yikes. It's been an entire year since I posted. Unbelievable.
So rather than retiring this space, I kind of feel like doing something with it. I've been ranting a lot lately about the mis-use of historical arguments in contemporary politics and culture (such as Alexander Hamilton apparently being a role model of the tea party folks...what?)...maybe a history detective type of deal? Who knows...All I know is that I'll only use this place if it has an actual purpose--twitter and facebook already fulfill my need to be snarky and self-deprecating.
Or maybe I'll just leave it blank for another year, at which point I can come back and talk about my (hopefully) completed dissertation and (hopefully) impending new job.
