Computer Surgery
My online time has been sporadic lately because my computer was sick. For the last few weeks, it experienced frequent seizures, suddenly freezing up for no reason and refusing to respond even to Control-Alt-Delete or any other keyboard commands. I know that happens to everyone now and then. But it was happening to me constantly, and the only way to make it work again was to shut down the whole system and start over. ARGHHH!
This weekend, my excellent IT Department (i.e., my husband Bob) took the thing apart and replaced the power supply. He actually had to cut a hole in the back of the metal case in order to fit the new part. And he cleaned up some software issues, too.
The patient will live. Thank you, Dr. Bob!
