Consider the HUMBLE pigeon.
This little bird isn't fancy, like the peacock; exalted, like the eagle, or beautiful, like the swan. It doesn't personify lofty ideals or inspire immortal poetry. But this humble pigeon, photographed at a public well in Siena, Italy, has a quiet kind of dignity of its own.
