I just got banned from commenting on Jezebel for the following comment:
"stop trying to make douchebag happen" - um, it did, isn't that why we're here?
I don't really take kindly to people telling me what words I should and shouldn't use based on trends? If I'm inadvertently causing offence to a genuine minority or oppressed group, fair enough, but because it's "jumped the shark"? We are not in high school. Stop trying to be cooler-than-thou.
Ummm, so basically, there was this post about how people shouldn't use 'douchebag' anymore - not for feminist reasons or anything, just because it is, like, so last year. And I was like, I love that word, why should I stop using it? So I wrote the above. AND THEN I GOT B&

Okay Jezebel has been annoying the fuck out of me for a few weeks now, but seriously, banning someone for sass? That is total bullshit. Maybe I shouldn't have said it, but I have a very hard time believing that it is a BANNING OFFENCE. Anyway, bookmark deleted, Jezebel - fuck you.
UPDATE: Someone commented agreeing with me, hope they don't get banned as well.
