I think I've found Mel Gibson's next big project...

Good God. Did I mention I'm doing Classic Film as an elective module, alongside my parent course (English Lang & Lit)? Last night I had to sit through Birth of a Nation. You know the one: three hours long; silent; SUPPORTS WHITE SUPREMACY. Thankfully, the School of Communications gets the Picture House to screen most of the films we're supposed to watch, so I didn't have to suffer through it alone. It was at least reassuring to have a roomful of people laughing with disbelief at the endless parade of racist bullshit.

Had my hair cut today, so now it's quite short and dykey again, which is good, but might take a bit of getting used to. Means I have to start using wax on it again, which is frankly a pain in the arse, but still, better than the mess it was before.

I'm reading Memories of my Melancholy Whores. I really shouldn't, because I should be concentrating on my reading list and essays and stuff, but it's so short, it can't hurt, surely? I started reading it this afternoon and I'm already two thirds of the way through.

I'm finally getting started on my
wilson_fest prompts. But as soon as they're done I'll try to finish my
get_house_laid and
betteronvicodin ones, because I feel guilty about those.

Oh, my friend's mother is okay, thank God. Not great, but okay.
