I find the physical process of writing kind of a hassle sometimes, much as I adore the mental angle (wouldn't "The Mental Angle" be a cool name for a band? No?). On the other hand, the number of comments I write on some days must add up to around 2000 words, so I really should get my act together.

I told moony last night that I really wished these stories would just materialize already so I don't have to actually work on them.

I've been a good girl about avoiding fests and challenges (signing up for them, that is. I've been very bad indeed about running them) lately. I finally realized that doing them doesn't help me work on my own shit, and I want to work on my own shit. I just have a hard time working on anything right now.

I actually really enjoy them, when they work. And when they don't work they stress me out a ridiculous amount. I'm putting my own (non-fest related) story aside for a bit, I think. Partly because there's no deadline, and partly because it's kind of unfolding in my head, and I want to let it without spooking it.

In other news, your level of awesome is becoming dangerously high. Scientists are attempting to transfer some of it to Cameron's characterisation, but it won't stick.
