I had the strangest dream last night. It had a proper narrative and everything. It was about Hugh Laurie - I think I was his PA (or possibly something less pretentious, like a maid, but I can't picture Laurie with a maid), and I somehow managed to make friends with him, and we went out for coffee, and then he invited me to a premiere, and for some reason I told him I couldn't dance and he smiled at me. He was wearing a truly excellent black coat - you know, the kind that swishes when you go around a corner, and makes you look purposeful (Kitten has one of those coats - it always makes me insanely jealous).Towards the end there was a voiceover, but sadly it wasn't done by Emma Thompson.

The thing that annoys me about this dream is that I was friends with Hugh Laurie, and not once did I ask if he could introduce me to Stephen Fry. In real life, that's the first thing I would think of. OK, the... third thing. But I would think of it pretty damn quickly.

I think I may, in the dream, have been slightly in love with him (Hugh, not Stephen; we've established my feelings for Stephen). But I was also prettier, had longer hair, and didn't feel as though I was in drag when wearing a dress, so really it was only a vague approximation of me.
I missed the big changeover today. I fell asleep on the sofa in the early hours of the morning, and slept sporadically until about half two. My sleep pattern resembles a Pollock at this point.

Edit: Jim Davidson is on Room 101 (on UKG2, not terrestrial TV, because they cancelled it, and I'm still not over that, by the way), and it's absolutely hilarious - not because of Jim, of course (not the sharpest, funniest or least evil crayon in the box), but because Paul Merton so clearly hates him. It's written all over his face: "I'm going to nod and smile politely so I don't get fired, but I will not laugh at your jokes or be tolerant of your opinions. I will sit here and silently judge you".

I love Paul.

Oh, by the way, my last exam is tomorrow (English AEA, which translates as 'it lasts three hours and I don't need it, but I paid 35 pounds for it, so if you see me around, I hereby give you licence to slap me'), and after that I should have plenty of time to work on that big long H/W fic I mentioned. That's for those of you who are on the edge of your seats. Hahaha.
