From
simple__man...

1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or, your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. [Put 'Random' in the subject line]
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better. If I already know you well, expect the questions may be a little more intimate.
3. You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

My random comment: I am almost certain that I'm the only person in the world who thinks that Mark Kermode/Simon Mayo is a legitimate RPS pairing.

My questions:

1. Do you like any other RPS pairings? If so, who (and why)?
I like Hugh/Robert, because all that sexual tension has to be coming from somewhere, right? Also, although I don't actually read or write it, I can see the appeal of Jake/Heath. Oh, and Stewart/Colbert, although I couldn't say why.

2. If you had to choose one item from your house that you can't live without, what would it be, and why?
The Holy Bible! No, not really. This is difficult to say... I'm assuming living things aren't included? I don't want to say something stupid like my TV/DVD player/computer, so probably my bookshelf. As long as I get to keep the books as well, obviously.

3. What's your favorite dish to eat? To cook?
I love sweet and sour tofu. And pizza. And bagels. And pasta. As for cooking... I don't do that much, but I really enjoy baking. And pancakes, pancakes are fantastic.

4. Who inspires you?
People like John Pilger really inspire me. Also writers such as Byron, Wilde and Dickens, because I'd like to think I could ever be that funny (and in the case of Dickens, so influential). I really look up to my father, as well.

5. Female celebrity crush? Male celebrity crush?
I have to agree with you on Salma Hayek. I also love Kate Winslet, Portia de Rossi, Katee Sackhoff, Chloe Sevigny... ahm... quite a few. I used to have a real thing about Joaquin Phoenix and Matthew Perry (for some reason), but less so now... I still wouldn't say no to John Barrymore, though. And Hugh and Robert are, of course, absolutely gorgeous, but I wouldn't want to split them up. And Dylan Moran and Stephen Fry are lovely, but I want to hug them more than anything else.

In conclusion, I am incapable of answering a simple question using fewer than 700 words. Sorry.
