'30 days' meme: days 9 & 10
It is a twofer today, because last night I had the crazy idea that if I stayed offline I might get to sleep at a reasonable hour. Did it work? Did it bollocks, I got to sleep around four, like usual. So much for that. So! First off, a picture I took. Recently I have started taking a photo or two every time I make French toast. I don't know why; it is something about the marbled effect the bread takes on after you fry it that fascinatesme. So I was going to post some French toast pictures. But then I thought, actually, those pictures are boring and ugly and of no interest, so instead, here is my favourite of a bunch of pictures I took in Dresden when I visited a couple of months ago:
Secondly, a picture of me taken over ten years ago. Here is one of my favourites - it was taken in my grandmother's garden. I'm not sure how old I was - I would take a guess at about six or seven? I'm trying to work it out by my hairstyle, but I don't remember well enough. I'm looking uncharacteristically feminine in this picture, and there's something about my facial expression that I love, because I look at it and see an essential nature that I still recognise as part of myself, if that makes any sense.
