it's from the bombay company. 4 stickers from the store/manufacturer, a strainer, and a top that features a knob to repeatedly remove said lid. yes, it's a cocktail shaker, even though it might be made from
dubious materials.
when i take a stainless blade to it, i can carve off pieces that show a bright brass color. it weighs 722 grams, a little over 1lb 9oz.
i'm still a firm believer that it held ashes. silver oxide is dark, so i don't think it's just tarnished inside. it smells like metal, like a handful of coins, maybe it once held incense/cigar/cigarette ashes, when i swabbed the inside with the plastic letter opener, the powder came off very light and easy. i'm thinkin' it contained ashes from somebody's pet.
