we went out to the harvest fair. all photos shot with my 40 year old manual (no auto focus, no light meter) lens.
waddles in full effect on that goat.
this goat peed on its forequarters and head. then it rubbed wet head all around its pen.
we went to a wine tasting seminar in the apple showcase room
the apples were more photogenic
and we payed extra to taste award wines. the sonoma county harvest fair is a big thing in the wine world. the judging that goes on there, the awards, they can sell many more bottles of wine for a company. we walked around and tasted maybe 8 wines, sharing most of the time. it was too complicated to hold the glass and sip and swirl and hold the camera. this camera/lens takes two hands, so i waited until we were snacking to take a picture
and that was really it for the photos inside the place
just us eating some truffles. there wasn't much to see during the tasting. just a mob of people, most in polo shirts, lots in t shirts, some in ed hardy with visors and tramp stamps.
this guy running the pig races sounded just like a bored will forte.
