It has been a long week. Petra has spent most of it unconscious, completly unaware of the passage of time. She lays in a bed tucked under homemade quilts. Food is forced into her, and her bandages must have been changed recently. The only thing missing is a thing of flowers by the bedside

When Bonzo finishes his grazing, it's back to...well, doing nothing. Nothing but pacing and thinking.

Bonzo starts pacing back and forth. Occasionally, he mulls over whether he is, in fact, dead. The idea isn't appealing, but...if all he had was the privilege of fighting for two days to be followed by an eternity of boredom, he couldn't ask for much more of a punishment.
If they died in that cold room and he just didn't notice, it would make even more sense to him.
And I wasn't good enough to save her. I tried, and I couldn't get Petra back to the Bar.
That gnaws at him deeply, and with nobody else around to notice, he occasionally mutters, occasionally throws a temper tantrum and punches the wall (something he hasn't been prone to doing since Battle School), and generally tries to sift through what he's doing in this place.

The idea of that 'purgatory' place he'd heard about once or twice also floats through his mind, and in the end, all he can settle on is that he doesn't know what's going on or why he is where he is.
