something interesting?

or maybe not, if you're not geeky like me xP

i decided to make the switch over from safari to firefox (some of you out there may be screaming yes, others may be like WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU), because of a few cosmetic reasons:

1. safari cannot display animated gifs at the right speed (in both the mac os x version and windows versions, apparently)
2. some layouting codes do not show up right in safari

however, safari did have some great advantages, which i compensated for in firefox:

1. in safari, the bookmarks had no icons next to them, so they took up less space; in firefox, you need to tamper with stuff or get an add-on to get rid of the icons, so i went the opposite way: i kept the icons and got rid of the text.
2. safari displays translucent pngs better than firefox does. that can't really be compensated for; gimme 3 days and i'll forget about it.
3. safari was integrated with the multi-touch features; i downloaded multiclutch, a prefpane that allows gestures for all apps to make use of multitouch, or to have global multitouch functions.

this is all geekspeak, i guess, so not really worth much of an update, but maybe a heads up for people out there? but this is just my experience. i'll probably go back and forth between the two of them, or something.

also, today was my first day of interning at sush's place! it was funnish; my first task was to copy some cds (about...i guess maybe 40-50) and then i had to label the entire set (which was 200 in total), and then i got to stick some labels on cassette tapes, and that was really it. overall it was kinda boring, not much to do, not many people there. let's just hope i didn't fuck up any of the copies -_____- but at least it's some work experience, eh? it might help me at rutgers (if they ever decided that they need someone to run a duplicator for them for some cd/dvd to distribute at some open house or whatnot), or it might not, but hey, work experience! i get my lunch and traveling fees covered by the boss =]

and then i treated myself to a blah mint mocha chip frappucino at starbucks at grove. they used chocolate whipped cream. what.the.fuck. >.> chocolate whipped cream is nasty, no matter what it's on, or alone. NASTY.

also, from videoperfect, i realized how cool the dock is at the bottom of the screen rather than the side, along with the mighty mouse. i wish i hadn't bought myself that logitech mouse and instead saved up for a mighty mouse kekekekekekeke. and then i realized that the dock is only cool at the bottom if you have the space for it (which really is for the iMacs, not the portables)

also, did you notice how i just kinda dropped chinese from my blog posts? i'm getting lazy. i'll do it again out of nowhere, just wait x]

firefox, mighty mouse, rutgers, chinese, starbucks, internship, safari, things that tick peter off, geekspeak
