The past few two weeks had been practically sleepless. Heh, what did a god need with sleep anyway? Perhaps he’d been stepping out of line by irking so many upon his entrance… but there were times when it was so incredibly irresistible. Especially what with being introduced to so many unique talents and abilities. Everything was so… new

Tobi could take a joke. He simply didn't like the man. And perhaps with good reason, seeing as he had actually taken to a bit of spying on him in previous years. All related to Sasuke, of course. Anyone who'd come in contact with the oh-so-popular "last survivor of the Uchiha clan" was subsequently stalked by the masked nin until they were found to be useless.
All of the said stalking was completely undetectable, for the most part. Madara was, indeed, a skilled shinobi.
This snakelike nin he was now hurtling towards had possibly made the largest impact on Sasuke other than Itachi himself. But unlike Itachi, Madara could feel no compassion toward him. He was not blood, he hadn't done such merciless acts on mere orders. No, Orochimaru was truly something to be despised ( ... )

Coincidentally, the Sannin's thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a very a familiar presence nearing. Ah hah... Tobi. So the game was beginning sooner than he anticipated? How exciting! He hadn't the slightest that there was another specific carnivorous Akatsuki member nearby as well... but if he did, he would find himself overwhelmed by double the entertainment.
Orochimaru didn't shift stances. He didn't even move. He simply held his ground, waiting for Tobi to make himself known.
The games were on.

"So you found me," he began, sounding somewhat nonchalant about the statement. "I assume it wasn't too difficult for you." So they were facing off once more? Good. Though, this time, Orochimaru's primary goal was a bit... different: He was going to unmask his mysterious taunter. The little man couldn't hide forever, and Orochimaru planned to strip him of the single apparent factor that seemed to be sealing Tobi's hard-nosed confidence.

He stood there, a dark smudge against the slightly illuminated bark on the trees. Tobi had been looking forward to fighting Orochimaru once more ever since he found he had not, in fact, killed the man. And who would strike first? Seemed Tobi himself was the one who had taken the initiative last time. And he would again, if the snakeish nin didn't come at him within the next second.

Tobi didn't seem to be making the initial move. Too bad. Orochimaru almost hoped the Akatsuki member would pull another ridiculous move like last time. It would make things much easier, but oh well. A challenge was always good.
The Sannin's expression hardened a bit, his eyes narrowing, more out of anticipating delight than irritation. The animalistic gaze seemed to glow behind the blanket of shadows caused by the trees. "Tonight we're going to find out who you really are, boy." His voice now was something more of a snake-like hiss, as opposed to his typically calm bemused tone. That said, his jaw dropped, ( ... )

"Aww, look what you did!" the masked nin cried out, examining the damage. Well, if Orochimaru was going to be unoriginal, so would Tobi. Why not continue that little sequence he'd been working on in the previous battle?
He performed the same stolen-Waterfall jutsu, sending another vortex toward Orochimaru. Excitement for Tobi meant the opposite for Madara. The Uchiha had felt something different in Orochimaru as soon as he'd laid eyes on him this night, the way the other shinobi stood, had talked. Even the fact that he made the first move this time. He was wary, to say the least.

Next came the oh-so-familiar water vortex. This time however, it didn't catch him by surprise. Orochimaru lept backwards and up onto a branch. Promptly after, he began bounding through the tree branches. His moves were incredibly nimble and agile, his movements practically soundless.
He thrust his arms forward, allowing his chakra to fluently spill into his attack. Futon. A violent wind crashed through the trees, leveling some of them and sailing towards Tobi.
