I don't believe it! It's been SEVEN LONG BLOODY MONTHS since I've been able to do a post - not counting when I started part two of Oasis, which is naturally kept private till I've finished the story - which I hope will be in time for DW96's 20th. Anyway, computer problems left, right and centre! And no money to get the thing fixed. Things at my LJ would work, then not work, then work again - except, post to journal - which would NEVER work. I couldn't get the "post to journal" button to work for love nor money. Lately, I got this crazy idea. Things would sometimes come in, in what I call "stupid format" - in other words, not loading in properly. I noticed when that happened, the "post" button would highlight. But not in an otherwise properly loaded format. So, today I took a chance and tried to post in stupid format. Well, with great difficulty - and with an ENORMOUS amount of "creative management" - it seems to be working. HALLELUJAH!
A potted update:
1. Oasis has gone from one to two to three to finally finishing up at FOUR LONG chapters! I'm just about done with part two - and am eternally grateful that the edit function has been one of the few things that has worked - most of the time. Oasis is proving scarier than hell. It's rather making Air Quality look like something from Disney Junior. And I'm just getting to the scariest part.
2. My kitty is fine - and still holding on to her "best behaved cat at the vet's" award. She will be TEN YEARS OLD next month! I don't believe it! We're just two OLD ladies together. LOL
3. Holidays - personal and public have been good - apart from the lack of posting ability. I can't wait till DW96's 20th. I got DWM's "so-called "tribute" issue. I gave it 7/10. Definitely worth buying, but I put it on a par with the so-called "special edition" of the TVM - and you know what that means. I know one thing I definitely want - Yee Jee Tso's book! Now that sounds really good!
4. My AO3 and Twitter https://twitter.com/VanessaNebula78 accounts have been my lifeboat during all this frustration.
I guess that's all for now. I hope NORMAL posting will resume ASAP! It's good to be back. I have missed posting here SO much!
