I only wish that I were witty enough to come up with these, man. Instead, it is the boys here that do all the work. I just transcribe their brilliance.

And Felix Heredia gives me hives.

those are awesome. poor tony clark. poor jorge posada getting tagged fievel. :D

serena roberts kind of sounds like our helene st. james, who practically forced herself into sergei fedorov's pants during several interviews. how unprofessionl.

And Felix Heredia gives me hives.

lol. that bad, huh?

He walked in a run, man, in last year's ALCS. In the post-season. Against Boston. Earlier this year, after one good outing, he faced four batters and gave up about six jillion runs without getting a single out.

The YGCs aren't the only people to tag Jorgie as Fievel, though. I think Chloe had a comment to me last year with that, and she even had a picture of Jorgie next to a picture of Fievel from Fievel Goes West. The lack of a chin and the giant-ass ears and the sloping nose kinda suggest it.

And Posada is even kinda soft in the belly like rats are. It's really kinda adorable.

I have one for Loaiza: "WTLY (for "wait til last year)." I mean, maybe he'll get back to his 2003 form, but you know, I kind of don't think the pressure cooker that is NY baseball is going to do him too many favors. And I also kind of thought all along, even when I wanted to believe otherwise while he was with the sox, that 2003 was a flash in the pan.

Good to see you posting again, petitio. ;)

My life has taken on a serious amount of crazy in the past few weeks, though, man, not nearly the crazy that your poor White Sox are going to be enduring.

Your friend, C, is right, by the way. Contreras has motherfugging amazing stuff. Even given the sucktasticness of some of his non-Red Sox starts this year, his ERA when not facing the boys in red is something like 3.30, and I hope he tears the AL Central apart with that beautiful 97 MPH fastball of his. He's a great K pitcher, too, so maybe the other struggles of the Sox won't be too bad for him. :|

And man, yeah. I hope Loiaza does well. I have little to no faith in the Yankees or the New York situation to make him better, but if E settles into a steady pattern of suckiness, at least I can get my heartbreak over and done with instead of yo-yoing around or something.
