Hey - i'm still totally loving this story. I read your author's note with total sympathy. I get that in all of my stories as well. Everyone is eager to read the good stuff, ME TOO!!, and it's so much fun to write, but i think very few of us actually want it before it's time. We just like to whine and beg!! That's why I write scenes like you hay loft scene, and fantasy scenes, so that we get some of that along the way, without jumping ahead of what's reasonable in the story ( ... )

J. dropped some trash on the ground in one chapter while kissing H. I got flack about him littering. So in a later chapter, after they did the nasty out in nature, J. tossed his soiled clean-up tissue into the grass, thinking to himself that they were biodegradable and would disintergrate with the next rain.I honestly laughed out loud at this comment. Thanks for sharing that experience and your POV on detail oriented readers. The lantern discussion does give me pause and has made me realize I need to think of how someone who hasn't done the research etc. will see the scene. Just because I felt it was safe doesn't mean the reader will since they might not have the same info I do ( ... )

Sienna, this is hysterical. I remember Jack dumping his plate on the ground in Boys of Blue Ridge! And it bothered me that a nice boy like Jack was littering, LOL!

And I almost mentioned it to you, but then I remembered IT"S A FICTIONAL STORY!
With fictional characters! So no litter was actually dumped!

Too funny that people called you out on this! You made me laugh. Big hugs. Barbara

What's really funny is that in my head, they cleaned it up before going back to join the festivities, but I didn't write the scene out that far. But, you can rest assured that even the fictional litter that was never ACTUALLY dumped! got picked up in my head and tossed into the nearest trash can. Heath's not gonna be trashing up his fancy place now - come on! Hugs back! Jane
