Lilah couldn't help but smirk as she walked into the living room, glass of scotch in hand. "You see the pattern don't you?"
The man she was addressing didn't seem to acknowledge her at first; then finally he spoke not looking up from the text he was reading. "You mean our nightly 'tete a tete'?"
"Hm the, is that what we're calling it now? Better be careful, Wes... keep that up and pretty soon you'll be using the "r" word ? However to answer your question, no that is not what I meant. You can't see it can you? "
"What is it exactly I'm supposed to be seeing?"
"The patttern, the one in your little ancient transcripts there." Setting her glass down on a nearby table, she leaned over, ran her finger across the page and lowered her voice to just above a whisper. "I can see how, after all it is an easy miss... of course for someone of your talents..." Her hand moved off the page and onto his thigh aqs she pressed her lips closer to his ear. " It a cypher. Granted a ancient demonic cypher for which isn't actually native to this dimension; Kreyluo, to be more specific."
"I didn't know to you were so well versed in ancient demonic translations."
"Oh, trust me I have many talents you have yet to discover. Of course, if you're just going to sit around with that old tome all night, ancient demonic translations may be as far as you get."
"Perhaps a little help then?"
"I thought you'd never ask. Of course, I do like to busy my hands while I work."
