Throughout that whole scene he was simultaneously being a humongous troll and also 100% sincere. IT WAS MASTERFUL.
IKR ARGH. My sister doesn't understand this about Klaus. I'm always murmuring, "He's so delightful" when he's on screen and she's always like "what is wrong with you." what is not to get, he's a great character. why are you a hater. why are you trying to make good and bad teams, tvd especially doesn't really believe in them you know.
the characters still went through with it anyway, because it's not that simple. It's not cut-and-dried, and I love the show for that.
YES, because it's really not, not in this instance. In cases of rape, yes. But here, no. This was about keeping Jeremy safe even though it was ridiculously not okay to the umpteenth degree.

Because, I LIKE YO THOUGHTS. LIKE YO THOUGHTS TOO Is it weird how I love that they're totally ships in the night who just keep passing each other by? (yes, I have been listening to that song too much.) No such thing as too much though, AND NOT WEIRD AT ALL. That's an awesome point. All of their significant scenes are in the night because they are ~in the darkness. They have been and have always been just two people that just meet and pass on.
SHE'S GONNA GET BACK WITH MATT. no but actually though. Why else would we have this influx of Elena/Matt scenes? Elena's not ready for Damon, so she's gonna try to ~start anew~ with Matt, and shit is gonna happen. WHAT SAY YOU? WHOLE IN ONE, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. Show last night was trying to tell us it wasn't, what with the whole "amazing friend" thing, but that was a load of labeling hogwash. Elena's going to run into Matt's arms because he is her true constant and where she has always defined herself as an amazing girlfriend and friend, ok. (not damon or stefan, pfft.) Where are those tags I wrote last night ... ?

It's only fitting that if Elena is going to let go/change, it'll be with Matt. Maybe they won't get back together, maybe they will, but I foresee them spending lots of more time. omg and they had great chemistry last night. I'm just really glad we're getting Elena/Matt anything; their feelings/interactions/past have always be severely neglected. Even in season one, it was all about their break-up, not their relationship.
