Okay thats not the real thing that I wanted to talk about today. I want to talk about the Cash Converters Financing Centre advertisement. You are probably thinkg what is she going on about. Well lets see here...
Australia is one of the worst cuplrits when it comes to not being able to save money. Australians run massive debts over the financia year and a lot of the time, they are not able to pay it off during the given time so they have to pay additional interest on top of the debt already owed which they can't afford. And to make things worse, they have Cash Converters ads sending a message to people that if yoy get yourself a really hot date and she expects a flash dinner then you should borrow money from them for that occasion.
What kind of a message are they sending to people??? First of all, if you can't afford a flash restaurant then take the girl somewhere more affordable. If she can't accept it, then she may not be the girl for you.
I know that sometimes it is good to have a place to borrow money from when you really need it for a one off occasion but people should not be living most of their lives worrying about how they are going to live for the next few months while trying to pay off their debts. In MOST (not all) cases people get themselves into trouble with buying things that they don't need instead of focusing on the stuff that they do.
I honestly don't think that advertisements like that should be allowed to be aired on tv. It sends out bad messages. Okay tell me what you guys thing about this. I am all up for constructive criticism :)
