Have you used Derwent's at all before? and is there a comparison between the two if you have?
No, not a lot. I think I have one of two but it's not a brand I am very familiar with. It's not very famous in France. Here, we use much more Conté and Caran d'Arche pencils that are very good but not as good as Prismacolors. I had never heard of Prima before people told me about them on Tumblr. They are not even sold in Paris, I had to order them on Amazon.com, in the US

blending/shading etc can you do that with them?
With Copic, absolutely. You have the 00 marker for color blending and very very light gray and purple markers for shading. In fact you have so many colors that the possibilities are endless. You can also have different effects by just changing the paper.

what/where are the best tutes/ are there any?
You can check the works and step by steps by David Deb on Deviant art. I love seeing his process on works like this one. Otherwise, I can't really give you any because I learned everything I knew thanks to books in Japanese :/
