What's the concept ?
My prompt for the j2_everafter challenge inspired by the cartoon The Great Mouse Detective, a "mice version" of the classic Sherlock Holmes. I didn't turn the Js into mice, don't worry, but just into a J2 version of Basil of Baker Street and Dawson with Jared as the famous detective and Jared as his best friend.
An inspiration ?
The production design pictures from The Great Mouse Detective. I found in a website some sketches done by the Disney's animators in the 1980's and took them as an inspiration particularly for the set of Art #1
Was it the first version ?
Absolutely not, particularly when it comes to Art #1. This prompt shouldn't have been chibies at all!! It should have been a digital painting with the Js as "Sherlock Holmes and Watson" (Basil and Dawson) sitting on a big couch in a Victorian apartment then a sort of comic style illustration done in Manga Studio with the boys running followed by Fidget the bat. I dropped because it didn't fit the mood of the cartoon at all. It's a Disney with cute mice after all! I then chose to go for the "chibies solution" and I don't regret it.
