I just finished my Politics of Economic Policy exam. I really think I passed and for the first time this year, I feel, did not embarass myself academically. Somehow, I managed to pull together all the information I have been churning through and get it out. It may not be polished, but it is there.
I ended up choosing questions on:
- why lobby groups use "nationalizing the interest" (Schonhardt-Bailey 2001) to change economic policy
- to what extent institutions contribute to economic prosperity
- the difference between demand and supply side economic policies
- and something about how credible commitment is used.
One class down. Five to go. Statistics on Tuesday. I rock.
