I wrote in my entry for the Daily Gratitude Community this morning:
I am grateful this morning for the routine I have in the morning of waking up snuggling with my husband, my cats giving us a purr before we venture out of bed. Setting up my puppies with a walk, "breakfast in bed" (they get kibble in a tiny bowl in their crate) and cartoons for them in the morning. Riding to work holding my husbandls hand in a warm car and getting into a quiet office to start my day. None of these things are particularly earth shattering and maybe that's the appeal. They are loving, consistant and gently part of my life.
I am realizing that many of those things are things I can't take for granted. Without my husband there would be holes all through this picture of my day. He is like the glue that holds my world together as i seem to be the glue that holds his life. Over the past couple of years I have really had to learn to be a better, stronger and more capable partner in order for us both to survive. I hope we can have lots of time to live this routine.
