The Official Guide to the Karakura City Festival
The Karakura City Festival log is now open.
Now, since the log is rather long and big and I doubt all of you will want to muddle through it all and since the log is rather important to things that will happen with the characters involved, I have taken it upon myself to write a guide out for you. Appreciation and love can be delivered through cake, chocolate, and IchiRuki fanfics and fanart. XDD.

Festival goers: Kuchiki Rukia [petit_shinigami], Kurosaki Ichigo [noturdeathberry], Matsumoto Rangiku [busty_neko], Mello [chocomachinegun], Hitsugaya Toushirou [notshirochan], Kuchiki Byakuya [petals_kill], Abarai Renji [divsixpwns], and Bob the Clue Trout [bob_the_trout]
+ The festival opened with Rukia [wearing this yukata] and Renji [wearing this yukata] coming to the festival together.
Hitsugaya [wearing this yukata] and Matsumoto [wearing this yukata and this obi] came together soon after.
Byakuya [wearing this yukata] came alone and was accosted by Bob the Trout who threw a cuddle bunny at him before vanishing. [Definition of a cuddle bunny: A special bunny that gives off chemicals that makes the user want to cuddle with whoever he/she is closest to.]
+ Byakuya joined up with Renji and Rukia and Matsumoto tried to strangle Renji in a hug.
Mello [who arrived alone and was not wearing a yukata :O] joined up with the group and talked to Hitsu for a while before they both went off to the food stands.
+ Rukia declared that everyone was there and that she was starving and so dragged Renji and everyone else to the food booths.
Ichigo arrrived late [wearing this yukata] and was greeted enthusiastically by Rukia and teased by Byakuya. Rukia was dramatic and forced him to pay for their noodles and then, without thinking, tried to feed her noodles to him.
Meanwhile, Renji joined Byakuya and they both decided to go and sit with everyone else at the food table.
+ At the table, Bob's cuddle bunny started working and Byakuya unconsciously stroked Renji's hand and made Rukia very uncomfortable. Rukia decided she didn't need to finish her food and dragged Ichigo away from Renji and Byakuya.
Byakuya asked Renji why Rukia left them and Renji told him that he was stroking his hand. Byakuya was confused and a very sweet and sappy conversation ensued about their relationship and they decided that they should go some place private. [Warning: Long thread, but super!cute and sappy and worth the read. :)]
+ During the same time [before Rukia left, actually] Rukia tried to convince Hitsu to partake in various festival activities [she failed] and she and Mello had a heated exchange about....something [really, what do they ever fight about?] that almost lead to something, but Rukia luckily backed off at the last second.
Mello and Hitsu talked at the food stands before deciding it was too crowded. Hitsu grabbed the food and used his shunpo [flash step] to take them both away to Make Out Hill the hill.
And this is where we break off and give each group their own plus bullet. Because this is where the wank begins. >D
+ Hitsu and Mello went up to Make Out Hill the hill and, well, smutted.
+ Byakuya and Renji went up to Make Out Hill hill to watch the fireworks. [Translation: they went up and, well, smutted.]
+ Meanwhile while everyone was busy smutting, Rukia dragged Ichigo to the Koi-Scooping game. [As a note: That's the only link I will give to the thread. I'll just explain what happens in it now, but I won't link to each and every part of it. Just click on that link and read it all because it's hopelessly adorable and awww. Well, before it turns angsty. XD] At the Koi-Scooping game, Rukia realized that she is lonely. Ichigo noticed her being quiet and pensive and worried about her and told her she could talk to him about anything. [Aww! ♥] She tried to put on a fake smile and pulled him away to one of those hitting-the-bottles-with-the-ball games and spied this HUGE FUZZY PINK BUNNY [Rukia: *_______________________*!]
Ichigo sucks at aiming and a little wrestling happened between them and then cue cliche falling-over scene. [...okay, I lied. I'm going to link it to this part now. STFU. XP] Ichigo admitted to caring for Rukia and then they were just inches away. BUT THEN. Rukia said that "it's not right" and ran away, leaving behind a confused and crushed Ichigo. [;_____________;. ♥]
+ Rukia ran off and emoed at the bottom of Make Out Hill, wtf the hill, when she met Mello, who had just got done smutting. Mello tried to comfort her, but she argued with and yelled at him. [surprise surprise!] And then! Suddenly, the UST stick hit them both upside their heads and Mello kissed Rukia and Rukia kissed him back.
BUT.
Ichigo and Hitsu both saw them kissing.
And Ichigo threw the pink bunny at Rukia's feet and ran off thinking Rukia wants Mello. And then Rukia ran off with the intent to leave Ichigo's house and return to Soul Society because she "ruined everything". Because we are the epitome of soap opera here, kthx.
So expect the next few days to be rather wank-ridden between all of these characters. Mainly the four near the end.
Even though you know the basics of the festival, you should still totally read the threads. Because they are too awesome to not be read and fangirled. XD.
