I'm sitting here in XSn's apartment in Northampton, awake in the middle of the night, thinking about all the people I knew/used to hang out with in the pan-Amherst area. Keeping in contact with only a small fraction of these people, I wonder how the rest of you are doing.
I just finished my first year of medical school, and am finally in a position, for the first tie in several years, where I have no outstanding obligations to fulfill. Last summer was consumed entirely by my delinquent Master's thesis, which was finally completed this past December. While I was at Tufts. Not much fun. The last school year sort of blended together into one big smear of catching up. Now I am caught up. It's wonderful.
And so my mind wanders to the battery of thoughts I had stored away and never touched because there was always something more important going on. I think about you guys, specifically the Hampshire folks, and to where you've all wandered off. I hope that I may see many of you, of those who are still around, over the summer. I'll be around now and again.
When I'm not ablating rat neurons and watching them regenerate, that is.
Much love.
