It's that time again...

Well.

In three days I will be 29.

Until this year, I had always looked forward to my birthday.

I was born when my Mother was 29 and when I was growing up, I promised my unborn children that I would never be so old before I brought them into the world. Obviously I lied.

My Mother decided to stop aging at 29. She is now 29 with a few years experience ( Read more... )

Oh please.

What aofi said. Basing your life on the previous generation is silly these days. Plus basing your life on what OTHERS have done is useless, as you aren't them. Plus I'm sorry... but nobody "stops aging".

My Mom was in her late 30's when she had me. In the 60's. That was unheard of back then. By your logic, she was "old". I'm sorry, but I can hardly view 29 as "so old", as you put it.

"When you're 29, you should be married with kids..."

According to the gospel of St. Whom?

That is such an outdated assumption. Reality these days is that most people aren't having kids at such a young age. If nothing else, the financial burden is too much for many young families to consider having kids in their 20's.

No. As aofi said... suck it up, get out and have fun. Turning 29 is HARDLY worth moping about. I'm 39 this year, and can hardly wait. I didn't "stop aging". I'm PROUD of my age. Just as long as I'm healthy, and have the ability to enjoy life and have FUN... age doesn't matter. (I'm gonna have a heckuva party when I'm 40!)

So get over it, and have a happy birthday. :)
