Rodents Welcome Here... apparently.
Under much insistence of the seven year old, we got the 1 year old hamster a friend. After paying for it, the saleswoman decides to tell me that there's a chance the older hamster may attack and kill the baby hamster over territory. So, we go to the cheaper pet supply store and get a small cage to occupy the baby hamster until she's old enough to hold her own against the massive rodent orb that miraculously squeezes its way through the plastic tubes.
Now, we have two hamsters. What's worse: we have two cages.
I could've put the baby in with the zeus of hamsters and taken the chance but then if she was killed, my kids would've been upset. She's a pretty little thing, too.
I'm looking on the bright side. My son was beginning to covet the hedgehog at the store.
