JR is a new inspiration, and his 'Women Are Heroes' project has the kind of large-scale creativity I admire enormously - this
6-minute trailer is a good place to start, then at the
project website click on Brazil then 'actions' for some inspiring photography. I don't chime in completely with his point of view - for instance, rape survivors are not 'heroes', and there is the uncomfortable 'rich white people staring at poor black people' aspect as well - but his clear passion for this subject largely echoes my own so I'm prepared to cut him a fair amount of slack when it comes to interpretation.
