I don't normally get on LJ and bark at anyone or anything in particular but what happened at uni yesterday at 3pm was an absolute disgrace and really pissed me off.

Some idiot (all I know is that she was female) in the SRC office got on the PA and said the following:

I think your right pete and i share your passion for steve...when i went to the US in 2002 I never realised how popular he was and thought to myself that he is more popular over there than what he is here...I think he has set an example for all of us that we should follow paths in our lives that we are passionate about and that is a big legacy for him and his family after all he followed on with his family's work. Steve to me was an icon for Australian lifestyle all that is good- wildlife, family, love, the waters, marine and business. It is a shame that he had to go but I suppose as Mel from Sunrise said "he showed us we are all mortal"... Australia will never be the same without this larrikin but seriously we can be proud of his work in conversation and use his memory to conserve our world. I am no greeny but his legacy for me is to look after the environment and like Blake says find faith within it...thats what Steve did!

Listening to the tribute to Steve on 2DAY fm I must admit I cried in my car...his best mate and business manager said that he was a proud dad and died in a state of peace and clear mind. I think it is so sad he died it is tragic and everyone I know is upset about it...my bf particularly remembers living in Croatia and when he saw tourist ads he said steve was always pictured with a croc...he even cried

What I think I got emotional about is the fact that he wass filming a shot for his show BINDI which is named after his daughter I hope she never thinks her dad died because of her and she moves on and makes the most out of the love he gave her...

That stupid idiot in the SRC Office needs to be dealt with I didn't hear it and I am glad I didn't but what you have to remember is that those people in that office all take some form of illegal substances and yes she probably is one of those people who says that she is something else and thank god she is lol...
