Back at my Alma Mater.

I started my first job. It was nervewracking. I wanted to die. I kept thinking of ways to drive off the matthews bridge sometime before this morning! I was simply petrified of standing up there and being responsible for these children's learnings. But I did great! I forced my nerves down. I wouldnt let myself freak out, and I did it.
I felt pretty good about my day. It went real quick. The kids were good, liked my lectures, and I was so a teacher. :)
It was weird being back at my alma mater, esp w.o my old high school friends to hang out with. I'm now a teacher that goes to plan in my classroom instead of hanging with friends in the morning spots before school, I go to the faculty lunch room instead of eating in the courtyard, and I drive out of the nice convenient faculty lot instead of that far away "mudlot".
(and I actually have to be really prepared for class!)

in other news, I have a beautiful neice! so adorable and I've loved being an aunt so far... I can't wait to experience all the fun things with the cute little girl.
