"No, I won’t!" Lucy sobbed.
"Why won’t you?" Edmund asked, fustrated.
"Because I don’t want to!" she yelled shortly.
"But Lu-"
"No!" she screamed, cutting him off.
Edmund let out a sigh and slid down to the floor in front of the door.
"Do you remember that time Mr.Tumnus brought his nephew, Thomas I think, to the castle?" Edmund waited for an answer but he got none.
"You two had gotten along so well, that is until Thomas took your favorite doll. You cried so loud that Tumnus and I could hear you from the library. By time we had gotten to the play area you and Thomas both were crying. Mr.Tumuns got Thomas and left us to talk. Do you remember what I said you to you?" He waited for another answer and again got none.
"I said you had to suck it up and be strong because you were Queen of Narnia and queens didn’t have time to cry. Then you told me since I was King of Narnia I didn’t have to cry over a meal." Edmund heard a tiny giggle.
"I guess what I am trying to say is, you should perk up. We really don’t need another person down in the slumps."
Edmund had heard the door unlock. He stood up and Lucy came out and threw her arms around him sobbing.
"I miss Narnia so much!" she cried.
"I know Lu, I know."Edmund said, wrapping his arms around her for comfort.
"Edmund I just want things to go back to the way they used to be, so we all can be happy again."
Edmund just sat there staring at Lucy while she was in his arms. For a moment, everything had felt like it once did.
"Hey, Lu?"
"What?"
"How about you and I go finish breakfast?"
"Okay, but there’s one problem."
"What’s that?"
"It’s lunch time," Lucy stated simply.
"Oh. Then shall we go make lunch?" Edmund asked and Lucy’s usual smile was back into it’s place. Together, the two went laughing down the stairs.

"Peter, are you listening to me?" asked Edmund.
"Yes, Edmund," Peter said, half listening, half staring off into space.
"Then what did I just say?" Edmund asked, narrowing his eyes at Peter.
"Something about breakfast." Peter replied, not breaking his gaze.
"What?" Edmund shook his head, "Peter, what is the matter with you? All morning you have been completely ignoring me. And I for one…"
Peter wasn’t paying any attention to Edmund. He was too focused on the snow. It looked so much more interesting than discussing about the daily duties and other kingdoms he didn’t care for. Everything seemed to be fine in Narnia and there was no upsetting news about the neighboring kingdoms, so Peter thought Edmund was being a bit of a snore.
"And we need both of us to be completely focused on our business. So I…" Edmund was cut off when he heard Lucy.
"Good morning, Peter!" said Lucy as she ran over and gave Peter a hug.
"Morning Lu. Did you see all the snow outside?" Peter greeted his youngest sister with a big smile.
"Oh, did I? It’s so wonderful! I just can’t wait until I go get Tumnus so we can play!"
Peter let out a very hearty laugh. "Where’s Susan at this morning?"
"Oh, she’s talking to Gladice about some new decorations in the dance hall."
"Why can’t Gladice leave the dance hall alone?"
"Well, Peter, you know how she is."
"Yes I do. But thank you, Lu."
"You are very welcome."
"Sure, pay attention to Lucy, but ignore me! It’s completely fine." Edmund grumbled.
"And good morning to you, Ed." Lucy smiled and she gave him a big hug.
"Well at least someone pays attention to me."
"Edmund I was not trying to ignore you. I was, well distracted." Peter said.
"By what? The snow?"
Peter was starting to get aggravated. "As a matter of fact, yes I was. And to tell you the truth I…"
"Good morning, everybody," said Susan as she gracefully walked in. Peter couldn’t keep his eyes off her.
"Good morning, Susan." Said Edmund, "Did you sleep well?"
"Yes I did, until Lucy woke me." She smiled softly.
"But I only did just so I could tell you about the snow! She’s crazy about it." Lucy said.
"Ah, but so are you, your majesty." Susan said to Lucy, grinning.
There was a knock at the study door, and everyone turned to see Mr. Tumnus standing in the dorrway, smiling.
"Mr.Tumnus!" Lucy exclaimed as she ran towards him to give him a huge hug. "What are you doing here?"
"Can I not come to visit you milady?"
"Of course you can Tumnus. Come in and have some breakfast." Peter motioned towards the table.
"Thank you, sire" Tumnus said.
Everyone had taken their seats at the breakfast table. Of course Mr.Tumnus was by Lucy.
"Where in the world is Elizabeth with our breakfast?" asked Edmund.
"Now Edmund be patient. Elizabeth is just a small dwarf and it takes her plus five others to bring it all to us." Susan stated.
"But I don’t think I can wait any longer, my stomach is eating itself!" Ed whined.
"Don’t be so ridiculous, Edmund." Susan said with a bit of repremand in her tone.
"What are your plans for today, your majesties?" asked Mr. Tumnus.
Lucy, Susan, and Peter exchanged glances with one another, then all but shouted, "Playing!"
"Playing!" Mr. Tumnus said, raising his eyebrows.
"What?" shouted Edmund.
"Well Edmund, it is such wonderful day. Why not go outside and play? We could use a break." Said Susan
"Exactly, Ed." Peter said.
"Well, I guess so." Said Edmund.
"Breakfast is here" Elizabeth said as she walked in with the trays of food. There was toast, fruits, eggs, sausages, and pancakes with syrup and milk. It looked so good.
"Oh, goody." Said Edmund as he rubbed his hands together, grinning.
"Edmund, please wait." Said Peter. He knew how Edmund’s stomach was and Peter wanted some breakfast for himself.
"I can’t help it. This looks all too well."
"Again Ed, please wait." Said Susan.
After Elizabeth had gotten all the food on the table she said "Now King Edmund, you may eat," And she left the room. With that, Edmund started to grab food and pile it on his plate.
"Come on Ed, save some for the rest of us." Lucy said, frowning.
"Sorry guys." Edmund mumbled after he stuffed a piece of toast into his mouth.
"Would you like a pancake, Lucy?" Peter asked.
"Oh yes, please."
"Edmund, Lucy, slow down. You might choke yourselves." Susan warned.
"Sorry Susan, but we are just waiting to go outside." Lucy said with a mouth full.
"I understand, but that does not mean we have to over stuff ourselves or use improper manners." Peter scolded.
"You older brother is right. Slow down and you won’t get sick, so you can go out and play." Mr.Tumnus said.
"Come on Tumnus, do you always have to agree with Peter?" asked Edmund.
"Well I am High King and I do know what’s best" Peter boasted. Susan gave him a look. "Well, I do."
"Peter I don’t think we need to put ourselves ahead of others." Said Susan.
"I wasn’t trying to, Susan, I was just stating the truth."
"Oh and how do you know that it is?" Susan argued.
"Like I had said before: I am High King and as High King, I’m smarter."
"Excuse you! What do you think-" Susan was cutoff by two voices.
"Done!" Edmund and Lucy said at the same time as they got up and ran for the door.
"Don’t forget to put on your gloves and your cloaks." Susan called.
"Do watch after them Tumnus." Peter said.
"I shall you majesty." Mr. Tumnus said, bowing as he exited.
"Tumnus come on! You’re going to miss Edmund getting hit in the face with a snowball!" Called Lucy.
"Tumnus, our thoughts will be with you." Peter said with a mischevious grin.
