This is my first attempt at writing a Peter/Susan fic...it will be a short one, just giving it a try, hope you all enjoy. Please comment!

She guessed it was the deep magic in this place that made her think these thoughts. What else was it about Narnia that stirred her heart, gave her such peaceful feelings of joy, and recently, had her looking at her older brother with new eyes? She didn't quite understand these feelings of late. She had always loved her brother, looked to him for guidance, and admired the way he had truly become "King Peter the Magnificent". He ruled Narnia with a clear head, a kind heart, and was most beloved by all the citizens of Narnia who called him King. So it was no surprise to her that she was close to her brother, that she loved him. What was a surprise were these new feelings.

Feelings that weren't sisterly at all.

Like when he rode his unicorn in the mornings and she watched him from the balcony, admiring his posture, the muscles in his legs flexing as he rode, his strong arms holding the reins. When he saw her high above, he would wave, his beautiful smile making her heart skip a beat. What was that?

And last week, when he grabbed her in a hug, coming back to the castle after a trip to a neighboring kingdom. She knew it was just a sibling hug, he was glad to see her after all. So why did her breath catch at the feel of his arms around her? Why did she feel a surge of heat low in her belly as his body pressed against hers? He had released her and then pressed his lips against her cheek. She could feel the heat rush to her face but she didn't think he noticed.

The touch of his hand, when he smiled at her, when his eyes caught hers in a secret communication...it all made her feel very strange. And yet, wonderful, all at the same time.

Susan was in love.

She knew this was true but it worried her all the same. In her past world she had known only familial love, she had not yet given her heart to a man, or even a boy. Romantic love was a bit of a mystery to her but she knew that the feelings she had for Peter was much more than a sister should feel for her brother. But he no longer felt like her brother.

Narnia had changed all that. The magic that filled their world was changing them. She could see it in herself and in Peter and Edmund and Lucy as well. The world that they lived in now was far removed from the world from which they came. They were truly becoming Narnians. And rightly so, as they ruled as Narnia's monarchs. It was only right that Narnia's deep magic would fill them and would rule their destinies.

And so, here she was, one quiet, starry night, standing at her bedroom balcony at Cair Paravel, thinking of her brother and feeling her heart wrench painfully at the thought that he might not feel the same for her. Her long dark hair whipped in the night wind and she gazed up at the brilliant moon. She was glad that Narnia had a sun and a moon and the stars, just like their world. It made it feel more like home. She leaned against the stone wall and twisted her hands together, unable to get Peter out of her mind. She was surprised to hear a soft knock at her door but she turned and called out "Come in".

The heavy door opened and a blond head appeared, his blue eyes shining in the candlelight that lit her room. Peter. She stood rigid, her heart suddenly beginning to pick up speed.

"Susan?" he said softly, "mind if I come in?"

She recovered quickly, "Of course, Peter, I was just admiring the moon tonight."

He crossed the room, coming out to the balcony to stand near her. His smell, his presence, his nearness made her feel lightheaded. His eyes sought hers and he smiled.

"I just wanted to say goodnight, I didn't know you had come to your room already," he said in his soft, deep voice.

Susan swallowed, her mouth suddenly dry, and said, "Well, I was feeling a little out-of-sorts tonight and thought I'd go to bed early."

Peter's eyes narrowed in concern and he reached for her hand. "Is something wrong? Tell me," he said worriedly.

Susan quivered slightly at the feel of his hand holding hers and she said quickly, "Oh no, I'm fine, Peter. I've just been having these feelings lately..." she trailed off.

"What feelings?" he asked, reaching up to brush a stray hair off of her face. His eyes bored into hers, searching for a truth.

Susan cast her eyes down, "I'm...I'm afraid to tell you," she stammered.

Peter cupped her chin with his hand and raised her eyes to meet his again.

"You don't ever have to be afraid to say anything to me, Susan," he said, "I will always understand."

"Will you, Peter? Will you really? Even if I tell you that I love you? Or more truthfully, that I'm in love with you?" Susan said, tears beginning to swim in her dark eyes.

Peter stared at her, unable to speak for a moment. Then he did something she completely didn't expect. He pulled her close to him, wrapping his arms around her, pressing her head to his chest with his hand. He held her there for a moment then lifted her chin for her eyes to meet his again. What she saw there made her unable to breathe. Love. She saw love in his eyes. He leaned down to press his lips against hers, tasting her gently. She moaned softly as she pressed her lips back to him. He pulled her close again and opened his mouth to hers, deepening the kiss. His mouth was warm and rough and Susan felt like her legs had become boneless. She wrapped her arms around his neck, devouring his mouth.

They kissed and kissed in the moonlight, till their lips were bruised and pale and the need to breathe became imperative. Both were breathing heavily, holding each other so close it was as if they were one person.

Peter's voice shook slightly as he looked at her and said softly, "I love you, too,"

"How long?" she whispered back, a tear rolling gently down her cheek.

He brushed the tear away, and said,"I don't know, really, it just seemed to come over me, like falling in love with Narnia did."

"It's the magic," she said smiling up at him, "the magic has filled us both."

"Whatever it is, it feels right," Peter said, kissing her softly, "It doesn't feel wrong to me."

"It doesn't feel wrong to me, either," Susan said, "I just know I love you and I want you, for always."

"I want you, too," Peter said huskily, "more than you can imagine."

Their mouths met again, each trying to breathe each others breath, taste each others sweetness, giving their hearts one to the other.
