i find i'm never looking at this or ever posting, but i found this passage in a book i'm reading, that i liked, and i'm glad someone wrote it.
" people are in one of two states in a relationship. the first is what i call positive sentiment override, where positive emotion overrides irritability. it's like a buffer... or they can be in negative sentiment override... people draw lasting conclusions about each other... it's really hard to change those states... some [emotions] go up, some go down. but once they start going down, toward negative emotion, ninety-four percent will continue going down... it's an indication of how they view their whole relationship."
