I was having a good day. But of course, if Peter and his family had a completely good day, well, hell would freeze over.
This computer is giving me grief. HUGE grief. Not cry grief, but FUCKING smack the computer senseless, and bring it out into the garage and smash it to bits. It's not worth it, not worth it.
Let's start from the beginning. We got this computer in 2000. Yes, that means it is FIVE YEARS OLD, going on six. Half a decade! We yadeeda'd with it, until it crashed, and we just pitched it. Well, my brother got one of his friends to fix it, and wahla, it works again.
So, my brother is taking our nice (now that I think about it) laptop to college. I am stuck with this piece of junk. Let's go over the problems:
The sound card is so old, it cannot support new sound systems; all we get is static. Need to replace that, but the little slot it is in is too big for the frickin' card!

H'okay, thats one down. Next, it's running on a Windows 2000 system, which is too old for some of the things I want to use, and the graphics are just blah. And the RAM...don't get me started.
Then we have downloading, printer, and EVERYTHINGELSE problems. First, iTunes is really strange at first, getting all of these error messages when I was moving music to it. Then, I can't open it at ALL, and when I try to remove it with the Add/Remove Programs thing, it won't, something about an invalid character in some crappy thing that only software developers would ever THINK of creating.
Then, I want to install two mIRCs. Snitch reffing, right? Well, they are constantly overwriting each other, and it is just making me smack my computer more.
And then the printer. Oh, glorious printers that hath plagued my family for so long! The printing and copying aren't really the problem, what the problem is is SCANNING. I get a brilliant idea, and I need to scan stuff constantly for it to work. When I try it, it says I need software to run it. I...have...the...software...
I uninstall everything, reinstall it, and whatd'ya know: still doesn't work!
I wanna just go out and trash this computer, and get a new one. My parents are saying money is tight, but they don't seem to act like it. They shop so leisurely, like they have all of the money in the world. SO GET ME A NEW COMPUTER, OR I WON'T SURVIVE THE SCHOOL YEAR.
I will need three simple things on my computer to survive school; music, Word program, and the internet. All of them have so far have been pains on this computer. It's annoying, it's tiresome.
I want it to end.
