List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
I have spells of sleeplessness, where I lie awake for hours getting more and more tired for about a fortnight at a time. I get more grumpy during these spells and usually take things out on "people who less than impress" at work. I'm suffering the above at the moment :(
I used to be a coke addict, but about 18 months ago I gave it up, cold turkey. However I have lapsed and since then I've probably drunk a couple of litres. After giving up I found I was drinking more coffee and eating more chocolate.
I have a MEng, BSc in Electrical Engineering (2:2 class), for which I studied for 4 years in Manchester. I also worked one summer building and testing Diesel Generators, the next summer I worked in a semiconductor Plant and during the third year I worked at the regional electricity distributor. Of course now I work in Telecom's developing systems to report faults on networks, pretty much nothing to do with my University Degree!
Sometimes I wonder how environmentally friendly I am, I tend to take public transport every day to work etc... but on the other hand I don't really believe that humans, or what we've done in the past, can/is really effect the global environment. I have a friend who works for the government in a department that is assigned to "gloabl warming" etc.
I was born, grew up and lived till I was nearly 20 in Northern Ireland. Part of the UK, just like Scotland, Wales and England are, but not part of the Irish Repubic. This is a bit of a complicated thing to explain to people, since they think I'm Irish, since I come from Ireland, whereas infact I'm a Brit. Most of the time I consider myself half and half. An ex still, affectionately, calls me Paddy (or sometimes The Paddy).
with in the last year or so I've continued or started watching the following TV series
From The US:
Lost - Very frustrating, I want to give it up but can't!
The Office (US Version) - A damm good series, which gets the chance to develop the characters more than the UK verison.
Smallville - It was one of my fav's but it's lost it's edge this last year.
Ugly Betty
Dirt
Family Guy
Dexter - very good
Heroes - just started to watch this.
From the UK:
Doctor Who
Top Gear
Fifth Gear
Extras
Hustle
Spooks
Torchwood
I'm sure there are more
Ok one more, and I'm having trouble to think of one tonight.....
I've probably spent as much time writing these points as I have making sure the html is correct
