why pujols? says here he was drafted directly by the cards in 1999. what does he have to do with the rays? by the way, this is the first year that he's not finished in the top 10 of MVP balloting...unless they haven't voted yet, which would mean that he still probably will. a .357 average should be good for something, after all. and .334 lifetime? holy shit. i figured that had to be #1 active, and yes, it is. can you ever get tired of baseball-reference? i doubt it.

yeah, my fault. i wasn't taking the connection far enough. but pujols/lidge.......no need to link that one. we all remember it. i'd say that lidge should watch out that someone else (say, ryan howard) will do that to him, but they're teammates, so he's safe.
