I haven't forgotten about you!
277 pounds. Not a huge drop in weight, but it's something, right?
Ummm, so there's stuff and things going on. The company softball season started and our team sucks, but we're still all having fun. We lost the first two games by more than 10 points each, and my batting skills that were so good in practice seem to not want to come out in the games. I skipped tonight's game because it was supposed to rain, plus it's really cold and windy. Turns out it didn't rain at all. Oops!
I got a bit of a merit increase and bonus at work, so I've been busy spending it all where I can!
Justin and I bought a grill over the weekend and we've cooked on it just about every night this week. More accurately, I bought the grill, and he's done all the cooking. This is the grill we bought. It works really well and does everything it says it does in regards to the way it cooks with the infrared heat. I'm very happy with the purchase, even if it was a bit more than I wanted to spend on a grill. We're having a small "BYOM/BYOB" get together here on Saturday, which should be fun!
I also splurged a bit and bought parts to build my own HTPC. Turns out it is cheaper to buy parts from Amazon than it is at newegg or tigerdirect. So that's what I did! The WMC remote and the motherboard/processor have already arrived, but it looks like I'll have to wait another 1-2 weeks for the case, HDDs, and memory which is making me very anxious and kinda mad because I really want to play with my new toy! It's going to be a very small computer, I think about 8x8x4, and running an intel atom 330 processor. It'll do full HD to my TV in the bedroom, backup all of my videos, photos, and music, and it'll stream them to the living room. It'll handle all my torrents, too. Thinking about having a RAID-1 setup on it. I'm even considering bringing back my domain and setting up the webserver again. it's going to be small and low powered, using just a few watts, but it'll do everything I need it to. I pretty much gave up on trying to get a huge gaming PC. I don't play many video games anymore, and if i do I play them on the wii or the PS3. it was just too expensive of a dream lol
Spent a lot of money getting my car fixed. They replaced something that was broken (oil gasket or oil pan... something oil related) and I thought it fixed my overheating problem, but it didn't. They said that nothing was wrong with the car's cooling system, that they tested it and everything, but sure enough the engine still starts to get really hot after driving it for about 20 minutes. So, what the fuck? I have no idea what is wrong with it. The fact that my car has such a seemingly bad problem with it really gets on my nerves. I want to get it fixed but I'm out of extra money for stuff like that. Someone do it for free? Haha :P
Ok well, I gotta get to bed. I'm totally exhausted from not sleeping enough and working out everyday and cutting way back on my calorie intake. Still going to try and update more...
