well, i tried one more time to revive my mp3 player.  brought home the soldering iron and gave it a go.  i managed to get the screen to turn on but it just wasn't meant to be.  i burned my damn finger on the iron, too.  nuthin serious, no blisters, but i can't feel the tip on my finger.  lol.  hopefully it comes back tomorrow.
