Christian Thad Adams 1973 ~ 2008 Our loving husband, father, son, and brother, Christian Thad Adams, passed away on September 24, 2008 of heart failure in Los Angeles, California while on a business trip. Christian was the first of five sons born to Thad "C" and Rosemary Forsyth Adams. He entered this world on October 31, 1973 in Reno, Nevada. His early years were spent in Pleasant Grove, Utah attending Grovecrest Elementary. His family moved to North Orem and he attended Orem Jr. High and Mountain View High School. He graduated from high school and LDS seminary in 1992. He married Katharine Ann Matis on September 25, 2003 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have been blessed with two little girls and a third little girl due in December. Christian worked in the hospitality business. Presently he was the GM for the Holiday Inn in Missoula, Montana, where he and Katharine had a home and were raising their little family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and son, a great brother, and a good friend to many who he cared deeply for and who loved him. He was an active member of the LDS Church and had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was presently serving as the young men's president, ward organist, and pianist in the primary in the Clinton Branch in Missoula, Montana. He is survived by his wife, Katharine, his daughters Sage and Sofia; mother and father, Thad and Rosemary Adams; brothers, Josh (Julie) Adams, Zach (Alicia) Adams, and Seth (Cami) Adams all of Orem; sister-in-law Cydney Adams Kronmiller (Micah); in-laws, Fred and Marilyn Matis, Jennifer (Chris) Scheobinger all of Lehi, Utah; Elizabeth (Ritchie) Steed of Longmont, Colorado; Bill (Sara) Matis of Spanish Fork; many nieces and nephews; grandmother, Mary Adams of Pleasant Grove. He is preceded in death by his brother Joseph Dan Adams in 2001. Funeral services will be held Fri., October 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Timpview Stake Center, 600 W. 1000 N., Orem. A viewing will be held Thurs., October 2, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at the Timpview Stake Center, and on Friday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery. Christian was a good friend of mine. I've only known him for about 4 years, but he was a 100% good guy. 4 years ago he at an aortic dissection at the age of 30 right after his wife had their first baby. He had two subsequent open heart surgeries, and last year had a mechanical aortic valve replacement. He was a dear friend to many and will be sorely missed.
