Whilst my car has been mended, by the ever reliable
Dale (right of frame, me behind) at
D&M Motors, I am still hesitant to plant the loud pedal, even though I have done a couple of hundred miles since last tuesday at 90 plus motorway speed since then.
It will probably take a while until I trust the new pipe, or I forget, and then drive the car like it was stolen again enthusiastically. Bear in mind that I still stress about one of the front wheels falling off the car, even though this has never happened to me, and I periodically check the lug nuts with a torque wrench. I am an odd person at times.
What else?
Thursday, camera club outing. Before tipping up, I dropped in on my sister in law, and my two youngest nephews. The latter of which were endearingly pleased to see me, and spent a while gabbling incoherently at me, updating me on all the stuff that had happened since I saw them last.
Then, photography!
Probably my favourite from the evening
Saturday, I tipped up at my other sibling's gaff, and a convivial afternoon followed. I also gifted my eldest nephew my
Tamron 23A lens, as it is surplus to my requirements. He seemed quite taken with the thing though, and that was pleasing.
Sunday, off to the mothership. I should perhaps be, and with hindsight from the future, be more concerned with dad's cognition. The trouble is, that he has exhibited many of the classic signs of dementia for the past twenty years... Wandering? Check. Disjointed thought and speech? Check... Etc.
Today, back to the grindstone. Much tedious.
