So, after trying to drive the car (very) gingerly, and having the intercooler feed hose jump off the throttle body on trying to drive up this hill:

I have gone for wrapping the throttle body intake with some kind of magic self healing / sealing silicone tape, and shoving the hose onto the "union" as hard as possible.

I did toy with the idea of sectional silicone hose to replace the bad end of the feed pipe, but as one end of the thing is perished, chances are the rest of it is.

Hopefully this bodge will work long enough to get the car to a friendly garage. If not, I will be driving to Bolton in limp mode...



A long way at about 30mph...
